Usage
The textboxes on several Hubdub pages, which are used to enter posts by a user, support some basic html formatting. Obviously, not every user is a web designer and has according knowledge. This extension supports those users by doing the formatting manipulation on the text the user enters.
When installed, the script adds some buttons to the text box. Each of these buttons will format the selected text in a specific way, when clicked. The buttons will not provide a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) style of support, but will simply add the html markup to the text in the input: Select a part of you text and click one of the format buttons. the script will insert the appropriate tags around the selected part of the text.
These pages have html input fields: User profile page ("shouts"), question details page ("comments"), Forums ("New thread", "new post").
These formatting options are provided:
- Bold
- Italic
- Underline
Stike throughHeadline
Please note: The script doesn't provide any further assistance as undo/redo formatting or validation of the structure of the tags.
